At the forum we intend to share the results of previous roundtable discussions and focus group discussions , which are part of a project “Reflection Series on Women in Philippine Peace Negotiations” supported by the Conflict Prevention and Peace Building Program (CPPB) of the OPAPP and UNDP. The Philippine peace processes are distinctive in involving relatively high numbers of women as members of the peace negotiating panels, and as heads of secretariat and technical support teams. We hope to draw some lessons from the experiences of these women, toward further strengthening women’s roles and capacities in this important level of decision-making for peace.
